Farin Road is a Pan-African culinary experience brand by Chef Babatunde “Tunde Abi” Abifarin, creating private dining, catering, tasting experiences and food-led storytelling across Edinburgh, Scotland and the wider United Kingdom.
The cooking is anchored in three foundations: Nigeria, Rwanda and Scotland. West African and East African flavours meet the Scottish larder, interpreted through contemporary technique and a deep respect for where each ingredient comes from.

I’m Chef Babatunde Abifarin, a Nigerian-born chef based in Scotland, with over 15 years of experience shaped by some of Britain’s most respected kitchens. My cooking is rooted in Africa but driven by curiosity, technique and storytelling. Through Farin Road, I explore the extraordinary diversity of African cuisine, reimagining familiar ingredients and traditions through a contemporary lens. From the aromatic warmth of Ethiopian berbere to the vibrant complexity of Moroccan chermoula, every plate connects heritage with innovation. My ambition is simple: to celebrate African food without boundaries, create memorable dining experiences, and showcase its rightful place on the world’s culinary stage.
